say Yes more

Yes Man by Danny Wallace. Great book. It is like the movie except funnier and has a better moral. I’ve been thinking about saying yes more. Do I say yes enough? I’m a fun guy. I get out there. But do I get out there enough? So starting today, I am going to count my yeses and noes in a new segment called Yes Count [because Yes and no count is too long and annoying]. This way I can see if I push away too many of life’s opportunities. And of course during my yes count phase [who knows how long it will last] I will be trying to say yes more and I hope that you will do the same.

here’s a good thing to say Yes to:

Teenage Angst-y

I’ve been surrounding myself with novels lately. And not even anything of educational merit. My sophomore and junior english teacher [C-Money] would be ashamed. I am not living up to my AP roots. But they are good books. Like Yes Man [the Jim Carrey movie is based off the book. They feel very similar except the book is far more British and inspired. Same thing, right?]. It is making me think more about the yeses and noes I am saying. But more on that later. I started reading Teenage Angst? Naaah… by Ned Vizzini [discovered him because of his new movie. Yes I’m mainstream, so what? At least I’ll do research to entertain myself] because I’ve been feeling very teenage angst-y myself [probable because I’m trying to enjoy my last few years as a teenager and because I miss high school]. The book is making me want to keep a chronicle of the events of my life. Or just at least write my thoughts down. I don’t know what this means but hopefully I’ll start something. Maybe even start up my journal again. Not that you should really care. Actually, aside from me advertising those two books, none of this concerns you. So get lost.

Love,
